How to run a quiz night that people enjoy
Four rounds of eight questions is enough for an evening. Mix the topics so nobody sits through two rounds they know nothing about, and keep one easy question at the start of each round to get people talking.
Write the answers down rather than shouting them. It sounds fussy, and it is the single thing that stops the loudest person winning every round. That is exactly what the online version does for you: everyone types in secret, then all the answers turn over at once.
