Hangman
Hangman, played by the whole table.
One word with its category, a dash for every letter, and everybody taking turns to call one. A right letter buys you another go, a wrong one costs the table a life.

🔤
Everybody plays the same word
It is not you against them. The table gets six wrong letters in total, so people actually talk before they guess.
📚
Words with a category
Animal, food, weather, sport. Nobody loses on a word they have never met.
⏭️
Right letter, another go
Guess well and you keep the turn, which is why the quiet ones suddenly get competitive.
👥
Two to eight players
Bots call letters too, starting with the sensible ones.
How to play Hangman
- 1.One word, with its category, and a dash for every letter.
- 2.Take turns calling a letter. A right letter buys you another go.
- 3.A wrong letter costs the table a life and passes the word on.
- 4.Six wrong letters and the word is lost, so guess the vowels early.
- 5.The table wins together, and whoever calls the last letter takes the point.

Questions people ask
Is hangman free here?+
Yes, in the browser, with bots and no account. Your friends join from one link.
How many wrong letters do we get?+
Six for the whole table, not six each, which keeps the game short and the talking long.
Who picks the word?+
We do, from a list with categories, so nobody has to think of one and nobody can cheat.
How many people can play?+
Two to eight. With more than four it turns into a conversation, which is the point.
Does it work on a phone?+
Yes. The letters are big buttons and the drawing scales to the screen.
Roll first, invite after.
