Double six, twenty-eight tiles. Match the number at either end of the line and the tile turns to fit.

Nothing fits? Draw until something does. Once the boneyard is empty you pass, and the table can see that you did.

When nobody can move, the lightest hand wins. Everyone sees what the others were left holding.

How to play Dominoes
- 1.Twenty-eight tiles, from double blank to double six. Everyone takes seven, the rest are the boneyard.
- 2.Whoever holds the highest double goes first and puts down any tile.
- 3.On your turn, put down a tile that matches the number at either end of the line.
- 4.Nothing fits? Draw from the boneyard until something does. When it is empty, you pass.
- 5.First person with no tiles left wins.
- 6.If nobody can move, the game is blocked and the hand with the fewest pips wins.

Questions people ask
How many people can play dominoes?+
Two to four with the double-six set. Everyone takes seven tiles. With four players there is no boneyard, so you pass when nothing fits.
Who goes first?+
Whoever holds the highest double. They can put down any tile.
What happens when I cannot play?+
You draw from the boneyard until a tile fits. When the boneyard is empty, you pass and the turn moves on.
What is a blocked game?+
A game where no player has a tile that fits and nothing is left to draw. The hand with the fewest pips wins; a tie for fewest is a draw.
Is this the same as dominó or domine?+
Yes. Dominó in Spain and Latin America, domine in Slovenia. We play the draw game, one game at a time, everyone for themselves.
