Turn the presentation format into a night with your friends: short talks, wonderfully unnecessary opinions and questions from an audience that knows you. You do not need impressive slides or a business idea. Pick a theme, give everyone a small limit and leave enough time for the conversation that follows each talk.

For four friends, allow ten minutes to settle in, five minutes per presentation and three minutes for questions after each one. Leave the rest for breaks and choosing the next theme. More people means either shorter talks or a longer evening; say which in the invitation so nobody prepares a twenty-minute lecture.
Five slides is a useful starting point: your claim, two examples, your most questionable piece of evidence and a conclusion. PowerPoint is optional. Google Slides, a PDF or five sheets of paper work too. Keep text large enough to read and choose jokes people can enjoy without being the target.
At home, check the display connection before guests arrive. Online, take turns sharing a presentation window in your Let’s Hang room. Close private tabs and notifications first. Everyone can prepare their own slides; the app organises the invitation and call rather than creating presentations for you.
Give a friend who does not want to present another role: timekeeper, question asker or award announcer. Avoid rating people’s bodies, relationships or private experiences. The most entertaining subject can be something as harmless as why one spoon is clearly the best spoon.

Make the case for three pasta shapes using criteria you invented: sauce-holding ability, elegance or structural ambition. End with a recommendation for the group’s next dinner. Someone who disagrees gets one minute to defend their favourite.

Give consenting friends roles on an imaginary mission: snack navigator, weather negotiator or keeper of the emergency playlist. Describe one problem the team would solve together. Keep the roles affectionate and let people choose their own.

Present three objects you use constantly and explain why they deserve a glass case. A chipped mug or reliable bag can have a surprisingly good story. Finish by designing the museum gift shop’s least useful souvenir.

Plan an imaginary holiday with one absurd constraint: no wheels, only places beginning with B, or every meal must be a sandwich. Show the itinerary and explain the inevitable logistical disaster. This is fiction, so no real bookings are needed.

Defend a small invention you wish existed, such as a device that finds the cool side of a pillow. Draw a prototype and invent a customer testimonial. The audience asks whether the problem deserved solving in the first place.

Choose five song titles for everyday moments: missing a bus, finding a clean mug or finishing a chore. Explain your choices without needing to play the tracks. At the end, everyone contributes a title for the closing credits.

Create a restaurant with an unusual premise, then show its menu, seating plan and one customer review. Try a café for time travellers or a soup shop with no bowls. Ask the audience what would make them visit.

Share a few innocent misunderstandings you once had and the moment you discovered the truth. Use your own memories rather than exposing someone else’s embarrassing story. Invite the group to add one of their own afterwards.

Nominate objects for categories such as quietest hero, most unreliable colleague and best supporting kitchen tool. Explain the shortlist before revealing each winner. The final slide is an acceptance speech from the object itself.

Offer three realistic plans with a rough duration, preparation list and budget. Explain which friend-group problem each solves, then choose one together. Finish the evening by creating the winning hangout and sharing its invitation.
